I'm glad to know you're buying books for us. I'm buying myself a few and we'll make quite the library. The stalians around are going crazy and asking enormous prices for everything so I by things from a middleman. I bought a small statue, [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] a pink angel to be suspended from the ceiling or for you to make some funny composition. As I told you I received time ago in Algiers the photos of you but not yet the pictures of your paintings you wrote you sent me. I received a couple of clippings from newspaper telling about your exhibit. Very nice and true and flattering and I'm proud myself. In the years to come we'll make sometime a exibit together.

I want to apologize for not knowing that the cigarette lighter was your gift and suspecting for a moment that such a nice thing may come from cousins. I thank you again and I assure you is just what I need here and I wonder how you've been able to find one. I was looking around in New York to buy one like that but never been able to find one. I bought years ago one Some how like it in Switerland but lost it long ago.
