Dear Toshiko:
Thank you for your letter. We are very happy to be able to buy your pots. We hope that we could buy some bottles when you begin to produce again.

The weather has been so grand that we are taking all the advantage of dyeing and canning as we can. We have done quite a bit of both already but still have to do the indigo, cochineal madde r and dahlias. I have all kinds of jams and jellies from the fruitsin our yard. I even made some pear and peach chutney. They are good but I wish I had some mangoes to make chutney with. They(re the best.

We're sorry that you and Lenore couldn't come this fall. Perhaps some other time. Now we have the utility room completed. It is such a sunny warm room with lots of light. We're trying to o rganize the rest of the studio.

Have you heard from Ernestine lately? How is she and Jin? I haven't written to her so so long and I must write to her.

All for now. Take care.

Best regards,
Allen and Alice
