Takaezu - 1 - 54

Takaezu: I have a lot in Hawaii, because I had a big show in the museum there.

Q: And you left them in Hawaii?

Takaezu: Yes. I have a storage area. But when I go back in December, I'm going to have a big exhibition in Hawaii, and then I have to take a lot of things from here. It's in a big auditorium in the hospital. This is the hospital where my mother was involved, and we know the doctors and I want to have a show. It's kind of a benefit for the hospital. And I had a big show at Hawaii several times, and so it's not all here. I sold quite a few through someone who is from St. Louis, who is dealing with a few of my things. I can tell you his name sometime, if you want.

Q: It's not Greenberg, is it?

Takaezu: He's going to work with the Greenberg Gallery.

Q: My sister-in-law knows him.

Takaezu: I think he's going to work with the Greenberg Gallery.

Q: Could you tell me how the Metropolitan Museum contacted you about buying a piece of yours?
