and after dinner went to the Queen's theatre to see Gertrude Laurence and Douglas Fairbanks Jr in "Moonlight is Silver" it was very enjoyable and again dropped in for tea and a lovely toasted currant bun (Phyllis' favorite) then home and called it a day, it sure was a full day —

We both enjoyed our time spent with you and both miss the visits with you to La Coupole, that was a lot of fun for us — I am so glad that you met Phyllis - of course we all think that she is everything that is nice — the only drawback to the trip was her homesickness but I think that is natural, — feel a little sorry that we planned such a long trip but wanted Phyllis to visit and see all that we had done in our three trips — think she will get a great deal of pleasure thinking it all over after her reunion with her lovely family and husband.

We sail on the "Amerika" on the 8th a week from to-morrow - time flies so quickly - we Oxford to-morrow and also do the Shakespeare country on Wednesday. Phyllis is still the "sleeping beauty".

Sorry, Henry, that Phyllis did not have the pleasure of meeting Jesse.

We both send our love and hope you continue to enjoy best of health. Had a card like yours. "The three brothers" from Ella & a long letter from Elna -

Sincerely, Jessie Bateman.
