Dear Mr. Tanner:

Thank you for your two letters just received. We will be glad to show the Tanner paintings to the Harmon Foundation and will make an effort to interest other people. I rather assume from your letter that you want us to sell them at about the same price as before your father's death, and if it is necessary to make a slight reduction you would be willing to have us do so.

I regret to say that we do not have the painting entitled "Rachel".

I will see that all of ours sales people will read your two letters so they will be familiar with the situation. We will ship at once the painting entitled "House of Joan of Arc" to Miss Bateman and trust that it arrives in good condition.

Very truly yours,
Erwin S Barrie
