What is an order does it bind only the artist. Let us suppose a rather rare incident - though it has happened to your humble servant, that I had made a rather remarkable picture & times has been good as they were when order was given. Suppose I had sold it without consulting you - would you have felt that I had lived up to my word to you

Now what is the case in hand. If they have the artist continue his order although but he knows by its size he is under a disadvantage.  He finally send word to the purchaser that the picture is about finished

2 he continues to work upon his order, & spends his money, believing when he has successfully completed his task he can at least enter into what his picture has actually cost him.

There he (artist) sends word that his task is done & sends to purchaser at his asking a photo at his request (more or less satisfactory) & receives a reply who

It seems to the artist, that his condition has only been aggravated by receiving the order & his continuing it.  He knows however that the was not [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] it never the intention of his client?
