Aug. 22nd 1918

To: Capt. W. Gillespie
From: H. O. Tanner
Subj. beans at 23 & 36

The beans were not distributed by mistake. Capt. G. Hunter Brown seemed to think that they had been sent for that purpose. - but he at once saw his mistake, and [strikethrough] not [/strikethrough] now asks to have beans charged to as you suggest Relief Account. A large part of them are still here & are being preserved for future distributions

Capt Brown therefore wishes to have the 1800 frs. transferred from Farm & placed in the proper place.

Why are your letters so long? Yours of Aug 10th received only yesterday eleven days from no 4.

H O. Tanner
