ADRESSE TÉLÉGRAPHIQUE:
"AMCROSS"

4, PLACE DE LA CONCORDE
PARIS, August 10th 1918

From: Capt. William Gillespie, Manager Bureau of Hospital Farms and Gardens,
To: Lieut.H.O. Tanner, Garden Service A.R.C., B.H. No 36 American E.F.

You will recall mentioning during your last visit that beans which had been sent to Vitte1, had be en distributed by mistake to the civil population of Vittel instead of being kept as seed. These beans were charged to the Farm, the amount being Frs.1800.- If the beans were not kept for farm purposes, then the transfer should be made and the value of the beans used for distribution be credited to the Farm and charted to the proper account, which, we presume, would be Relief Account.

Will you be good enough to speak to Captain Hunter Brown about this matter and thus permit us to make correction at the earliest possible moment.
