Dear Fred:

Many thanks for the photo of Lorser's painting. I remember that Stanley Barbee bought it "off the wall" in our studio. Later, he bought my 1959 MIRROR from a show at Paul Rivas; it was borrowed from the same Honolulu museum for the double retrospective of L.F. and M.L. organized by SFMMA, also shown here at UCLA. It was the last of my "Mirror" paintings - it is completely "hardedge" - no fruit, shells, or other props.

Congratulations on your New York show. Art Space certainly did the right thing by you: flying you there, putting you up, etc. I would like to have seen the show.

All best wishes for future goodies,
Helen
Enjoyed the cartoon . I think there are quite a few creators of monstrosities who should be bribed to lie fallow for a while!
