Dearest Flora -

I have just heard that I can't go to Albany before the 9th, & as I can't leave here before the 15th, it will be about then that I'll be up - in other words two weeks. You see, Mother is leaving here the 15th & I can't let her close up the house by herself, so I shall have to stay until she leaves - but write me if that is time enough, for I have a horrible feeling that something vital has happened to you, in which case, if you want to see me, you know that I would like nothing better than to see you - So just telegraph, if you want me to come, & I could go up for a day or two & then come back -
