else. The truth of the matter is, that I shall never as long as I live be any good at anything unless it be a linguist which would repay me but slightly for all my efforts - at present I'm nothing but a working woman—— I've been meaning to ask you for the name & address of your Italian teacher. I want to do some reading & cant seem to find anyone who's any good. Also didnt you take French lessons, and who did you have? If he or she was any good, would you give me its address & name - Don't forget to send these to me, will you, even if you dont feel like writing just send them to me like a dear-

I have discovered an entrancing little shop of old jewelry. I went in there the other day and stayed 20 minutes & in that time neither of the men payed the slightest attention to me nor asked if I'd like to see anything, so I looked at everything, helped a lady & gentleman to buy a wedding ring & another one to sell a watch. The lady was overcome with embarrasement & tried the ring, on every finger but the right one & finally asked me which I liked, so I picked out the cheapest looking one & she confided in me that she had liked that one all the time.

Well, I must cease now dear. Let me know if or when you're coming & how you are.

All my love— Katherine—.
