Flora my dearest - 

I know of few things that could give me more pleasure than to stop with melancholy resignation at the post office, altruistically requesting the mail for the Small Soul on the front porch of St. Georges and - discovering a letter for me from you. And such a satisfying letter - not satisfying in length, nor in details but theoretically only - because I am so thoroughly overjoyed to know that you thought of something you wanted to do, pursued it, & were successful in attaining it. Also that it's such wonderfully interesting work as it must be -
