I need you badly for the purpose of instilling fortitude! There is no agony in the world greater than standing before an easel, charcoal in hand, gazing at an objectively cheerful fawn's head in plaster and thinking - say, for instance, of a cold and cheerless room on the fourth floor of the Colonial Dames' Club - Possessing a Land through whose fingers not a quiver of Art passed to encourage the bit of lifeless charcoal, and a brain forlornly wandering to other & more remote subjects. In short life's greatest agony is discouragement and therefore I am enjoying to the fullest extent - life's greatest agony - My room is improving by degrees - After long & intensive study
