Many, many thanks for your letter and check, which I received some days ago! Also thank you very much for the announcements which you had sent me prior to the show!

We, too, thought it was a really beautiful exhibition. The whole things was so well planned in every detail, as you say, that it is indeed hard to believe that there was not a single sale.

White it is true that the lovely, late-summer weather must have played a part in keeping people away, yet could it be that gallery- visitors, for their part, were unable to warm up sufficiently to the pictures on display?!
