I was very glad to receive your good letter, and I am sorry that it has been so long since you have heard from us, but things have been rather quiet lately.

You are right in that we still do have 9 of your small pictures left our [[out]] ot [[of]] your original consignment of 41. As I am sure you would like to clean this up, I am enclosing herewith our check for payment of the remaining 9, as follows:
