Dear Mr. Graham:

Thank you very much for your letter of the 18th inst., from which I see that you have been up, and took an early start, to view the exhibition at the Fogg Museum! I hope it is real good, and that you and your wife both enjoyed it. To tell the truth, I don't think we here will be able to go at all, but we shall come down to see the exhibit which you are planning for next month, in New York.

I am very much pleased, indeed, that you are going to give this show, and to hear you speak so hopefully about it. Concerning the self-portrait of my father, I don't know whether I should admit this, but I myself do not understand it, for it is no real physical likeness
