at the trial; promising her a new dress if she would do so & that she had told what Mrs. Livingston told her to. As far as I could learn the facts of the case are these.

Mrs Livingston told Viney's husband, "that Viney had Black & White men running after her. He told Viney & she went to Mrs Livingston & told her that if she had said so - it was not so - high words then passed between them when Joseph Young - "Freedman" took Viney by the arm & took her home - enclosed is his Affidavit."

The Judge, "Z. King" does not come under any of the exceptions of the Presidents Proclamation of May 29th 1865.
