inclosed I Send you a Communication from Edward Bright Cor, Sec of Famine Relief association New York in reply to one written by me in behalf of the Suffering and destitute of this County which is extreme As this County was badly managed during the late war and no Section of the South Suffered more by the drout [[drought]] of last year, There is not less than 2000 Whites and half that number of Blacks entirely destitute of Supplies and means, as Shown at the last meeting of the Committee of relief for the purpose of Consolidation of returns from the districts in this County If you should see fit to send us a portion of the Supplies you Can Consign it to the Inferior Court of
