C.T. O.T.A.C. Vol.2, 1867 Office L.A. Com B.R.F. & A.L. Augusta Ga, May 8th 1867 Respectfully returned to Captain Eugene Pickett, A.A.A.G. Macon, Ga. with the following report. As there was no agent in Wilks County. I addressed a letter to Garnett Andrews Esq of Washington, requesting him to ascertain the facts in this case. Mr Andrews is a strong Union Man, always was & is now, & was formerly a judge of the Superior Court and from the favorable recommendations. I received of him, I asked him if he would accept of the appointment as Agent. I invite attention to his letter relative Rec'd May 8th 1867 to the complaint about the supplies furnished from the North & also to his willingness to accept the appointment of Agent.
