Sir I have the honor to enclose you two letters received this day from Newnan Georgia, the writers of which are men well known to myself and whose statements are entitled to the fullest consideration.

The matters complained of are not new in the vicinity of Newnan but on the contrary of long standing.

With this statement the papers are referred to you for such direction as you shall please direct
