of this has dawned on Mignon yet. Also she and Mark are flying to Dallas to stay with her father for 3 weeks in mid-July. This may produce something. But at the moment she is definitely "anti" me.
The odd thing is, I feel in my bones that we are well matched and therefore I can't quite believe The events of the last six months. 
By the way I was very interested about the possible publication of the Dialogues. And good about the sale of Philoctetes. Clifford wrote that Elsa saw it on show when she was in New York last. I still remember it in the dark red dining room at Darby House, where his eyes seemed to follow you around the room. Mark and I stayed for a week at Darby House this Easter at the invitation of Sir Lennox (composer) and Lady Freda Berkeley; old friends of mine from Howley Place days and guests at the house of Trever-Roper. What a lot of changes! And not all for the best. The garden has been much altered. A pool for pond plants dug and much of the lovely flower beds laid to grass. The house has a new roof (much needed) and there are a few minor structural alterations inside the house which on the whole seem good. 
The house seems very bare of course, after the Howard Griffin days, but this was to be expected. Your being at Gloucester tempts me to ask something of you: When Howard and I were in Gloucester in 1967, staying with Harry Martin,
