I bought a windcheater. I think the firm or make was called "Mighty Mac"; "Out o' Gloucester"!
The factory was in the centre of Gloucester by the sea front if I recollect, and the windcheater, which had one zip up the front, was made of cotton with ribbed woollen neck, and at the wrists, was reduced in price because of some minor defect which I've never been able to discover! The beauty of it was that it was bright red with a white triangle and evidently there was a windcheater for every letter in the morse code alphabet. All had attractive abstract looking designs in red, blue and white. My one has only just worn out, and it occured to me that the firm might still be making them and it might be possible for Carolyn or Someone else to buy me one? There is nothing like them in England. My size I guess is large (not extra large) and I could pay you by International Money Order or similar. Perhaps someone could bring it with them if they are visiting England or it would wrap up quite small for posting. If they are still (or similar) being made. But I don't want any of you to spend time searching around, if not.
(any design - prefferably with red in it!)
Thankyou!
Well you must be having lovely time up there in these Summer months. By the wat how is Harry?
Please give my very best to Carolyn. It's a pity this has been, on the whole, rather a sad letter.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Love, Terry.
