Dear Nell -

What a sweet surprise awaited me at the tiny post office in Harpers Ferry! Your poster is so handsome, and I'm so happy to have it! Thank you Nell! The walls are entirely blank (white, of course) - so your poster will be the first piece of art to hang on our walls. Every time I look at it I'll think I'm at Ledge Road! In fact, this house reminds me a bit of yours, lots of windows (that wonderful open feeling) - the formica counters (a deep blue in the bathroom - I tried for your blue, but it was already discontinued!) - and a low kitchen counter on one side that I find just right for bread making - and rolling dough for apple and peach pies. Also, the gray decks and the gray cedar siding. The early morning light is much like your light - and I love my studio. Small, compared to your enormous one, but oddly I don't feel cramped. I have a little closet-cubby area, about the size of yours. And one luxury item, a sink, to wash brushes in. This, I didn't think was

*this little warbler sits on the rail surrounding the deck! A real sweetheart.
