[[note]] Nina Talbot Young Painter to Nell Blaine [[/note]]

Oct 24, 1981

Dear Will,
It was good to finally hear from you! I'm glad that you've enjoyed the abundance that Autumn has brought to you and Gloucester. I'm looking forward to seeing you and your new work again!
It seems as if I'm living in a world of black and white. The situation with my sister and family still leaves a lot left to be desired. On the other hand, my work, painting, and return to New York has been fruitful and optimistic on the whole.
My place is becoming cold again as it does in this time of year. Although it's not so bad that I'd really like you, Carolyn, and Justina to definitely plan on a visit here again when you return, for another dinner and a chance to look at the pictures that I did in Gloucester.
The opportunity still presents itself for you to do a painting of me if you yet wish it. I can still make myself available to you for two evenings a week if you so desire, when you return.
I understand about the previous plans we had regarding the work we made. It wouldn't have made sense for me to come up and only be able to afford two days of work what with you paying for transportation and all. I'm glad that David was able to spare the time to come up and help.
