My former Apprentice,
GLCA program

December 3, 1981

Dear Nell,

Well it is about time, huh!? Enclosed you will find your long lost watch. I feel pretty bad about only just getting it to you. Procrastination is not a valued habit of mine. One of the many excuses for being so negligent is that it (watch) spent some time at a jeweler's. I had it checked out: fine tuned, cleaned, a second hand put on as well as a new watchband. (If the band is not soft please let me know - I can exchange it.) It has a year gaurantee from one of the better stores (jeweler's) in Rockford. Again my apologies and thanks for being so kind & patient. Sigh.

Also enclosed is a set of slides of my last show's paintings - 3 major works are missing - one not being here at the time of photography and the other 2 belong to some [[strikethrough]] ? [[/strikethrough]] other people - The show went well and had some interesting helpful comments. Im now trying to work on a set of figures for another show in August. Unfortunately it is not in a gallery but in a "gallery" at the Rockford Public Library... Humble starts as well as great incentive. As usual Chris
