Walter Boelke, Director

5 December 1972

Dear Nell:

Last year I promised myself to answer your christmas greetings-- I never did.

Now --at receipt of your show announcement--I am at least keeping my promise.

In Margot's addressbook I find your address as 210 Riverside Dr. but since this may be out-of-date, I am sending these lines to the Poindexter Gallery.

I am of course very happy that you not only keep up your art but that you are getting better (according to Canady --or was it someone else?)

Unfortunately I no longer visit the city--not because of age or sickness, I am feeling young and well--I simply hate Manhattan and prefer the solitude of Hillsdale.

I am keeping the gallery alive, although I do not do half as much as Margot did. And My artist-son and his painter-wife don't do much either. They live in Danbury, Conn. and when they come up they prefer to work in their respective studios.

I have shows during the summer, of course; but no longer one-man shows; and I show the works of just about six artists, five painters and one sculptor, plus some really good ceramics by another friend.

During the rest of the year I organize special programs (I enclose the last announcement).

I still do a little music engraving, about half of it for my own little publishing enterprise.

Thank you again for not having forgotten me and, please, DO keep in touch.

With warmest regards,
Walter
