Dear Nancy;

I am still here, but tomorrow I expect to go out to see Katonah and Wednesday I am to go there for good. That part is particularly hard as Clara is going to sing in Irvington on Thursday evening and I had planned to go to at least that one of her concerts. I can't, however, and feeling sad over it isn't going to help the matter away.

Since I have been in New York, I have felt absolutely lifeless and tired almost the entire time. That is due, of course, to the change of altitude; the air, here on the sea level, is without bracing qualities for me. So for that reason, at least, I am glad to be going so soon to Katonah where I shall be considerably higher up. The doctor told me yesterday that the express trains go to Katonah in an hour & the slow ones in an hour & a half - neither of which is bad. He also gave me some news which was even more
