Dear Nancy,

Until very recently-about ten days-we have had cool weather. Now it is very warm & the Lioness being a trifle worried as to its possible effect on we telephoned to inquire. We didn't waste may words about my health, which is remarkably good, but then the Lioness upset me fearfully by asking what I knew about Dublin & the friends belonging thereto. I could scarcely speak it brought up so many dear ones so very clearly & the darling life we led there last summer. Lioness doesn't care for Tuxedo Park & is hungry for Dublin. I hadn't very much news to give her of the Dublinites none of you or your's.

I suppose I should be content because there is one lovely person here, a young woman about my age who is full of fun & endlessly kind, as well as intellectual & in e very way lovely, besides which I am gradually getting what I came here for-my health. But you can't imagine the longing I have had for Dublin since I spoke to the Lioness yesterday! I have felt it before, but I never had felt utterly devoured by an unsatiable hunger.

Do try & write a little more often, Nancy. I know that it is very hard indeed to find time
