Excerpt from letter from Jean L. Clemens to Nancy Douglas Brush.
Mark Twains daughter

Katonah, N.Y.
June 24th '07

The Lioness upset me fearfully by asking what I knew about Dublin and the friends belonging thereto. I could scarcely speak, it brought up so many dear ones so very clearly and the darling life we led there last summer. Lioness doesn't care for Tuxedo Park and is hungry for Dublin. I hadn't very much news to give her of the Dublinites and none of you or yours.

Jean Clemens was a friend of Nancy D. Brush -
(later Bowditch)
she had several letters from her that went to the Mark Twain Memorial (we have copies of these)
