1.
CENTRAL FOUNTAIN FOR COPLEY SQUARE WITH THREE BASINS.
This design is shown located in the center of the square instead of on the axis of the Library. If this is done the street car lines can be carried through the square with only a slight deflection from their present location and pending the construction of a subway under Huntington Avenue they would not be objectionable in appearance.

2.
FOUNTAIN FOR COPLEY SQUARE WITH CANAL ON AXIS OF LIBRARY.
This plan would have a very charming effect in bringing out the reflection of the Library facade and surrounding trees. Benches would be arranged in the shade along the malls which would form a very popular resting place. People passing up towards Huntington Avenue on the sidewalk by the side of Trinity Church would get the full benefit of the vista and [[strikethrough]]full[[/strikethrough]] reflections

3.
CENTRAL FOUNTAIN SIMILAR TO ONE OF MR. MCKIM'S EARLY SUGGESTIONS
This fountain is located on the axis of the Library and leaves the square free for traffic.

4.
COMBINATION.
If desired trees could be introduced around either of the fountains similar to those shown in the canal scheme.
