Having made my decision the kind of training I should have was next in order. Since my experience was no more than that afforded to students in the public schools, it was decided, upon advice, to provide an elementary [[note 1]] ground work before launching into the great adventure of painting.
As a result I enrolled for a three year course at the School of Industrial Art in Philadelphia [[note 2]]. [[note 3]] The work there comprised drawing [[note 4]] from the antique and life as well
