Dear Keith

Your note & check arrived. I'm afraid its awfully close timing, however. I am going to N.Y. tomorrow (for the Henry Moore at MMA show on Tuesday) and will get the wire then. (I usually write for it and it takes a week or more to come--perhaps they like to cash the check first?)

And then I don't want to be too hasty making the [[strikethrough]] jewelry [[/strikethrough]] necklace as gold is worked slightly differently from silver--as I remember it gets hard very quickly, when bent, and has to be annealed (over the gas stove (we have one)

I made Louisas necklace in London, and had a jeweler shine it up, as it had a very dull sheen when I had finished making it. I imagine you could have this done in Ft. L. more easily than in Roxb.
