Thursday - two minutes after we talked

Sheila dear,

Small is beautiful; less is more; can there be monumentality in liliputian scale - scale is personal, identifiable, make uses of the past ! Indeed I will write the preface——thank you for asking me. When I am in Santa Fe I will search out two collections of miniatures - one of shields, the other of Puma baskets. We will have a broad frame of reference!

As to Montreuil - naturally we are using lots of black and white - but is there a knockout view in color which I want to use along with the Lund color. I'm afraid I returned all to you but bring what you can. Also bring the color negative of the Ryhad piece - we will see if we can convert. And of course since you are the architecture queen whatever you can of the Frankfurt project.

Re Israel - naturally I've had long-standing fantasies and Sandberg had been plotting ways of getting me there. It seems to me that there are two countries I NEED to know for the good of my soul, or whatever one calls the psyche; Israel and Japan. By hook or crook. Vamos a ver. We'll talk about when we meet in May, hooray.

Besos,
