Atelier des Grands Augustin
30 Rue Dauphine
Paris VI, France

Dear Sheila:

I have your lovely lavender letters, and I am hastening to answer before I tear off for Fort Wayne, Indiana. 1) I think the Stedelijk selection is a good one and I think of course that your gifts to them are marvelous.

With regard to the Museum of Modern Art, may I suggest this approach. Emilio Ambase is the only person in the department with any interest in this area of their holdings. I think that if you and he work out some kind of a deal, he can get it accepted by Arthur and the committee. Once he decides to approach Arthur, I can more subtly speack [[speak]] to the committee members (remember, Jack is one of them) to support his request.

No copies came with your letter, but the only one that really concerns me at the moment is the one to AT&T. I spoke to Vince yesterday and he will send me the kind of letter which you should send to AT&T and will push for action. Hopefully, you can get it off before you leave, or if not, don't forget I have your letterhead right here and we can do it when you arrive. Now, when do you arrive? I have arranged a little fiesta here in the studio for the evening of the 16th. I have also arranged a little fiesta in Washington for the evening of the 20th. Interestingly enough, Vince wants to be at both parties. You have no idea how supportive he is now of everything I am trying to do.
