Minutes of a meeting of the trustees of the Whitney Museum of American Art held at 871 Fifth Avenue, Borough of Manhattan, New York City, on Wednesday, July 1st, 1936 at 11:30 o'clock A.M. There were Present:
Gertrude V. Whitney
Flora Whitney Miller
Juliana Force
Cornelius V. Whitney
Frank L. Crocker
composing the entire Board. Mrs. Whitney, the President, called the meeting to order and Mr. Crocker acted as Secretary of the meeting.
Minutes of the meeting of the trustees of March 23rd, 1936 were read and approved.
At the request of the President, Mrs. Force submitted to the meeting her report as Director and after consideration of the same it was unanimously
RESOLVED that the report of the Director of the Museum as submitted at this meeting be and the same hereby is approved and the program of future events therein recommended be and the same hereby is adopted and the Secretary be and he hereby is directed to make the said report a part of the minutes of the meeting.
The President advised the meeting that, in her opinion, it would be necessary to close the Museum during the month of August to enable the staff to make required repairs to,
