soever, subject only to suitable rules and regulations; to preserve, protect, and put on public view, the paintings, drawings, and sculpture hereby acquired and hereafter to be acquired; to sell, exchange, and dispose of the same, and to acquire new works of art by American artists, from time to time as the Trustees may see fit, and to render the same available, under suitable regulations and restrictions, to artists, scholars, educators, and persons interested in art and literature; and to contribute to the encouragement and development of art and artists, generally, in America, and to the education of the public in art, literature, and kindred subjects.

ARTICLE IV

Trustees

The Trustees of the institution shall be the persons named as such in the Deed of Trust and their successors appointed as provided for in the said Deed of Trust.
