Benjamin did not get here until yesterday morning. You must not expect a very long letter from me now for I am so plaugy lazy I can scarcely write - Your boys are both well and eat until I am ashamed of them - I feel somewhat better but not much - Longworth has asked for his "Gammo" two or three times. We went cherrying yesterday and got a basket of excellent cherries and the way Jim and Nick eat was a sin - Tell Abby to mind about all I told her before I left - Tell Jim to bring the little carriage out of the stable and put it in my room. I am afraid of its getting spoild down there - Benjamin, Catherine and all the rest send their love to all of you - Mary particularly to Abby and Letty James and Joseph. Give my love to Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Addams if you are so fortunate as to have her back again - Write soon - My love to all.

Yours truly

E. Powers

P.S. I shall write soon again - tell Abby I was sorry she was not along - there was a young man in the stage which looked and spoke exactly like Mr. Haight and a good Jackson man at that.
