Nov. 16th, 1847 - something about artists - something about drawing for money - directed them to send $100 to Corry for Philander's daughter. Something about Willie Powers - Samson - act as he thinks best - directed to sent 8 napoleons to Mrs. Abby Adams. 

Oct. 31st, 1847 - Benefit to N O sufferers approved - investments - leave it to him how to dispose of it, only don't let it go into business transactions - don't since much more here - our hop & stay etc. 

Aug. 7th, 1847 Artist by the ears - much about Kellogg's house and the infamous people in it - statue of Jackson - want copy of agreement - desire no puffs of the statue, every confidence in his, careful not to do or say too much for you. 

Oct. 12th. 1847 - full authority to dispose of the Slave never wrote against a brother artist except to him, to Longworth and one of my brothers and that only for self justification - about his house.

Oct. 26, 1848 - mentioned drawing on Peabody for L 200 - (see this letter) not told me what security there is for the receipts on the Slave in the Smythsonian Institute. (said a good deal about this)- see all this.
