Sir your letter to my Brother J.J. Hurt, requesting a statement in regard to the taking off of girl Lucy, from Macon Ga. is to hand. contents duly noticed.  

My Brother has been in Macon Ga all the fall & winter and still there. The matter alluded to has been amicably adjusted before the bureau in Macon Ga. the matter brought up before Capt N. Silus [[Sellers]] Hill commanding that post.
