Dearest Jack:

Seeing you was special, and as always, I felt safe to say anything to you.

The whole weekend was very important to me. Fred and I had good talks. We each bring old baggage; Im becoming aware I need to let go of mine - insecurities that come from old abandonments. Fred struggles too, and that's worth a lot.

His show is really wonderful I think. I enjoyed seeing the range of his work. Maybe Im biased, but - of course I'm biased and that's OK, isn't it?

Your space was like heaven. We both appreciate the quality of the space and all that's in it. We enjoyed all the museums and galleries - but none as much as yours.

Fred is going to Missouri to be with his mother for Christmas. I hope to meet him there just after Christmas and we plan to drive South to the sun - maybe Key West. If your Christmas invitation is still open, I wonder if something like Dec. 23-26 or 27 would be O.K. with you both.
