INT.
What about the Daily News cover? Did you just do one thing like that?

ANDY
The Daily News...yeah, one was the Daily News and one was a Daily Mirror which I guess isn't around any more.

INT.
Do you have any recollection of why you started to use silk screen?

ANDY
I had to draw them all. [[crossed out]] Te [[/crossed out]] The reason I used silk screen was I had to draw them all separately and I thought it would be easier if I made screens so I made, so the first one I made was a stamp and then from the stamp I thought there must be an easier way, and I tried to do a dollar bill and I took it down to some, to a silk screen place and they thought I was.... oh, to a stamp place to make one of those rubber stamp kind of things and they thought I was trying to do some forgery so then I had to think of another way and a friend of mine designs silk screens, so he made a copy for me and then I guess that sort of started it off.

INT.
Andy, you've been quoted often about the statement you made to Jeanne Swenson about wanting to be a machine and all of that. Will you say something about that.
