Gerry, you've been in.......

Gerry, you've been on Andy's scene about as much as anyone. You've been a part of it as much as anyone has and you've been closer to Andy then perhaps anyone else has. I wonder if you would talk about him, what you feel about him. 

GERRY
He's always been kind and helpful at all times. And receptive about other people's opinions or ideas. We would exchange ideas at different times. I would give him ideas for his art and he would give me ideas for my poetry and we had this sort of inspirational exchange going.

INT.
I mentioned this before talking to Andy that one of things that I've always noticed is that he always receives everyone openly and he never says no in a sense.

GERRY
Oh, well, he says yes. He can say no without saying no. Like his being very very passive. And it's sort of like a wall and people see this and they don't want to penetrate it.

INT.
Can you give me your impression of the way he responds to all of these things that go on around him?
