Sept. 9. Morning

Started reducing stone blocked out for "arms" and took away more in front- Then attached "plaute" (far too late and out of sequence) before animal should be too fragile.

Brought back my first lessons. Flat chiseling band a little way in then "pointe" vigorously, followed by gradine- much sighting with Ecaire.

Sept 10. all day but interruptions (altercations over diorite [[?]]) Continued reduction of arms in plane sliding toward front this necessitated new work on body and shortening of tail plane. I also so frog has some stone to sit on cut away chin, flat plane with gradine and stone in front of it
