     New York Aug. 22, 1832
My dear Sir:
    I have just returned
from an absence in Pennsylvania,
which has delayed my reply to
your letter. I shall be very willing
to lecture in the places you propose,
on my way to the West, which
will probably be in the early part

the West, which I find to be the
most profitable field for lecturing.

no engagements for less than $50,
as I have nearly enough in hand
for the whole winter, at that sum
and upwards. I would suggest to your
association and that of Buffalo the
same terms as I have already concluded
