I have the honor to report the following case as having recently come to my knowledge and to respectfully request that the Ass't. Comm'r, will issue an order addressed to the Sheriff of Early County, directing that the money held by him, be immediately paid over either to me, as Agent, or to the freedmen direct.

About the 1st of Feb'y 1868 F.C. Genth, late Agent etc. seized five bales of Cotton, the property of Wm. C. Leath, farmer, in Early Co, and ordered the same sold by the Sheriff of said County.
