to Gen'l Tilson Agt of the Freedmans Bureau

Sir I write to you in behalf of Thomas and Eliza Brown  They are honest and industrious but sickness has paralized their efforts They have children in Chester South Carolina which if they could get to them could make them comfortable  They have a little money saved up and some person stole it from them and they are too sick to work  if you would help them on their Journey to their Children they would be ever greatfull for it they are looking forward to a cold winter and they are badly provided for it here by helping them you will be doing God Service
