Sir,

Authur White, a soldier in the 6th U.S.C.T about to be mustered out of the service and a citizen of Maryland, wishes to find his wife Mentovia White, and two children Ann and Catherine.

They were formerly the slaves of Capt. John Dean, a Planter in Clark Co. and at last a/c were living with him.

White is willing to provide a home for them and will take them off Gov’t. support entirely if they can obtain transportation to this place. 

Will you interest yourself in the case and help them forward.
