I propose to hire fifty or sixty laborers at least one half of whom shall be men. Young and sturdy men and women desired with as few supernumeraries as possible.

Wages for able bodied men ($15) fifteen dollars per month and women ($12) twelve dollars per month =  The laborers shall find themselves in every thing - that is to say that I will furnish to them whatever provisions they may require charging them only therefor such prices as the articles usually command in a plantation =  All other articles desired by them will be advanced at cost price free from profit. They will be permitted to rear vegetables and small crops for themselves - can rear chickens - & a limited number of hogs and will always be humanely treated and kindly cared for -  In all other particulars they will be required to conform to the terms of the
