of the war of 1812 and the son of a soldier of the American revolution fully committed to the warning & teaching of Washington & Jackson that our Federal Union must be preserved  Having taken the Amnesty Oath with a religious determination to observe it in good faith I am willing to cooperate with the Freedmens Bureau to make it a success  The destiny of the Freedmen are in their own hands; by diligent and honest labor they may become good citizens and regarded as such by all right minded men in the South  If you visit Macon come out to the Farm and see us  I would be please to hear from you  If you write direct your letter to Crawford Station Monroe County Georgia
