Swame Capt 35 Inf A.A.A.G Hd Qrs Detachment 19' US Inf Augusta, Ga. November 7, 1865 Respectfully returned - The number of Commissioned Officers from this command which have been hitherto, and are now, required to fill the details in Military Courts and to perform the usual duties of the Detachment and Post, would make the withdrawal of Capt. Andrews from duty with the command, a matter of serious inconvenience to me - besides the Company of which the Captain has been assigned, and commands, has only recently joined as recruits, and requires the superintending of an experienced officer - C.S. Smith Capt. 19; US. Inf. Commanding E.B. 112. s1865 -
